Council hears updates on West Side high school, Franklin Street Bridge and Army Corps study

On the Franklin Street Bridge project, the city reported that gas-service relocations and utility pole work have pushed the schedule back; the required box culvert is in design and crews will proceed once utility companies complete relocations, officials said.
Council members also discussed a U.S. Army Corps of Engineers study of the Still River. The Corps has made multiple site visits and is completing a cost-benefit analysis; city officials said the draft report will be shared when it is finalized and the financial model is complete.
Members asked for public release of the Corps report when available; officials said they would provide the document once the Corps finalizes the draft.
The meeting also included departmental Q&A and acceptance of routine reports by voice vote.
