A staff presenter stated the PPA rate proposed in the amendment would be about 7 cents per kilowatt‑hour, compared with a typical Ameren all‑in rate of roughly 12–14 cents per kilowatt‑hour, meaning the project should lower the city’s electric costs for the pump station. "So we're still well under what the normal default rate is," the presenter said.
Council approved the amendment on unanimous roll call (7–0). The city will proceed with the contract adjustments identified in the amendment.
Next step: city staff will finalize the amended PPA and proceed with implementation according to the agreement.
