She said staff will try to deploy vans selectively and continue to solicit customer feedback. Amanda said the county planned to procure vehicle-surveillance cameras through a capital grant; the cameras would integrate with scheduling software and require a sole-source procurement from the vendor Treadmaster. She emphasized the grant is set to expire Sept. 30 and urged staff to move the procurement forward so the funds are not lost.
Amanda attributed ridership gains to more residents returning to work and said drivers provide door-to-door assistance and help some riders with groceries. The committee had no substantive changes to the report and moved on to other agenda items.
