At its regular meeting, the Glen Carbon Village Board recorded roll-call approvals on a slate of routine and administrative items.
Finance staff presented payments for 04/11/2026–04/24/2026 showing net activity of $585,512.28, which trustees accepted by roll call. The board approved resolutions 2026-49, 2026-50 and 2026-51 to declare 23 surplus rifle plates as surplus and donate them to the Maradocia Police Department (10 plates), Alton Police Department (5 plates) and the Washington County Sheriff’s Department (8 plates). Chief Litton explained the village purchased AngelVest 3 body armor and no longer needs the rifle plates.
Trustees also approved a three-year service agreement with Nextiva to replace aging POTS phone lines, which staff said will eliminate nearly $500 in monthly charges and provide a new phone system at no cost to the village. The board authorized resolution 2026-48 to contract with Ari Pedrati for TopView SCADA monitoring software ($17,960) after the vendor explained Link2Site will become unavailable and the new software integrates with existing SCADA systems; staff said third-party review costs will be billed back to projects.
All listed items were approved by roll call during the meeting; trustees also approved other ordinances and resolutions included on the agenda.
