At the May 5 meeting the Caldwell Borough Council approved a consent agenda covering routine and contract items. The consent agenda passed on a single motion with a roll-call vote in the affirmative by members present.
Notable items included a Length of Service Award Program (LOSAP) contribution of $28,390.00 for members of the Volunteer Caldwell Fire Department (Resolution 5-128); authorization of a professional service contract with Laura Mongello to serve as administrative agent for COAH projects for 2026 (Resolution 5-129); and authorization to purchase a Stormtank from PSI Process for improvements to Chestnut Street using the PVSC co-op contract (B454-8), not to exceed $74,477.00 (Resolution 5-130). The council also authorized payment of bills for the period 4/18/2026 through 5/1/2026 in the amount of $2,311,271.05 (Resolution 5-131) and amended a professional services contract for the Caldwell Police Department firing range for up to $27,090.67 (Resolution 5-132). The council approved the appointment of Brittany Heun as Local Registrar (Resolution 5-133).
The consent agenda motion was made by Councilman Brown and seconded by Council President Buechner; the roll-call vote was affirmative for all members present.
