Lake Zurich honors longtime crossing guard and swears in new police and fire personnel

The board also swore in and promoted several members of the fire department: Michael (Mike) Rutkowski as deputy chief of operations, Jason Henriksen to the rank of captain, Ryan (last name given in the oath) to lieutenant paramedic, and Jack Lenz as firefighter paramedic. Family members participated in badge‑pinning ceremonies for several of the promoted employees.
Mayor Tom Pointon and trustees thanked the sworn personnel and the departments for their service.
