Town Clerk Christine Carrigan told the council that CivicLinQ would reduce annual hosting fees from $2,144.69 to $500 and carry a one-time implementation fee of $1,000. R6 representative Shay Morrison said CivicLinQ would offer significant cost savings and volunteered to manage the transition at no charge, noting prior experience assisting other communities with similar moves.
Council Member Ray Evans moved to approve the vendor change, Council Member Jerry Spencer seconded, and the motion passed unanimously. The council did not record additional contract details at the meeting and directed staff to proceed with the implementation steps outlined by the clerk and R6.
The change is expected to lower recurring municipal costs and make it easier for staff to update ordinances and code language going forward.
