The Natrona County Board of County Commissioners met in a special session on May 12, 2026, to fill upcoming board vacancies and appointed five people to county boards and councils.
Chairman Jim Milne called the meeting to order at 5:30 a.m. County Clerk Tracy Good recorded that Commissioners Dave North, Peter Nicolaysen, Casey Coates and Dallas Laird were present. The stated purpose of the meeting was to address board vacancies with terms that begin or continue after June 30, 2026.
Commissioner Dave North moved to appoint Chad McNutt to the NC Planning and Zoning (unincorporated) position for a term ending June 30, 2029. Commissioner Peter Nicolaysen seconded the motion, and the minutes record: "Motion carried." The appointment fills the unincorporated planning and zoning vacancy through June 30, 2029.
North then moved to appoint Aubrey Attaway to the NC Planning and Zoning (incorporated) seat for a term ending June 30, 2029. Nicolaysen seconded; the motion was recorded as carried, filling the incorporated planning and zoning vacancy.
Commissioner North moved to appoint Shawn Houck to the NC Travel & Tourism Council for a term ending June 30, 2029; Nicolaysen seconded and the motion was recorded as carried.
North moved to appoint Anna Bohren to the NC Public Library Board for a term ending June 30, 2029. Nicolaysen seconded and the minutes record the motion carried.
Finally, Commissioner North moved to appoint Nada Kelkawi to the Casper NC Board of Health for a term ending June 30, 2031. Nicolaysen seconded and the minutes record the motion carried.
The minutes record that, with no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 7:01 p.m. County Clerk Tracy Good attested to the minutes.
