Goochland DRC elects chair and vice chair, corrects bylaws and approves minutes

At the May 19 meeting the Goochland County Design Review Committee opened the floor for officer nominations. The chair called for nominations and a member nominated Miss Armstrong for committee chair; that nomination was seconded and accepted by voice vote. A committee member also nominated Mr. Costello for vice chair; that nomination was seconded and approved by voice vote.
The committee reviewed a redline correction to the committee bylaws to fix a scrivener's error in the remote participation policy (Article 4). Staff presented the redline and the committee moved to adopt the correction; the motion was seconded and approved by voice vote. Members then considered minutes from the May 29, 2025 meeting; a motion to approve the minutes was made, seconded and approved by voice vote.
No public comment was recorded during the procedural items, and the committee moved on to the scheduled certificate of approval application later in the agenda.
