The Haddonfield School District Board approved a multi-item consent agenda that included acceptance of monthly discipline and safety reports, policy reading on an activity participation fee, curriculum resolutions for field trips and out-of-district placements, personnel actions and several business and finance resolutions.
Clerk (S1) summarized the governance items and told the board there would be a 20-cent increase for elementary school lunches next year. "There's going to be just an increase by 20 cents for elementary school lunches," the clerk said during the finance and facilities discussion.
Board members moved and seconded the consent agenda items and conducted roll-call votes on each set of resolutions. The minutes and routine approvals were accepted; personnel approvals included new hires, transfers, stipends and contract renewals, and the business agenda included renewing a physician contract, authorizing ESS Northeast for substitute staffing and appointing Brown and Brown as district benefit advisers. A recusal was recorded on one personnel subitem.
The board opened a public-comment period but received no public speakers before approving the agenda items and adjourning. No formal budget adoption or ordinance reading took place at this meeting.
Outcome details: motions on governance, curriculum, personnel and business items were moved and approved by roll-call; one recusal was recorded and the board adjourned after approving minutes and routine items.
