The Farmington Redevelopment Agency on a unanimous voice vote adopted a resolution approving the tentative fiscal year 2027 RDA budget and set a public hearing for June 16, 2026.
Levi, a staff member who presented the budget, told the board the tentative plan had been presented previously and that staff had "missed maybe 1 of the initial, noticing requirements," so the item was being renoticed. He told the board the RDA "has very little activity in it" and that "the tax increment that we collect in the RDA, we don't we don't collect tax increment anymore at this point," and that those funds had been incorporated into the city's general fund.
Melissa moved to approve the resolution adopting the tentative FY 2027 RDA budget and to establish a date, time and place for the public hearing on 06/16/2026. The motion was seconded; the board voted in favor and the chair announced the motion "carries unanimously." After the vote the board made a motion to reconvene the city council and returned to council business.
The action does not approve a final budget; it adopts the tentative RDA budget and schedules the required public hearing for further public comment and formal adoption procedures.
