Bonny Eagle community honors Todd Delaney; students note scholarships and events

Chair Welch presented the Bonnie Eagle citizenship award to Todd Delaney, citing his years of service as a school board member and as chair of the budget advisory committee. Several board members offered congratulations; Director Carlo said he first met Delaney 12 years ago and thanked him for his service.
Student representatives reported end-of-year activities including the senior banquet, the school’s model United Nations delegation and upcoming performances. The students also announced two recipients of the 2026 Mitchell Scholarship, Boston Nobile and Ashley Inman, who will receive $2,500 in aid over four years and be inducted into the Mitchell Scholars community.
The superintendent’s report included staff recognitions for 25 years of service and awards for the district’s choral director and Best Buddies recognition for Bonny Eagle Middle School. The board encouraged attendance at upcoming events including the Special Olympics and senior citizens dinner.
The recognition and student reports were presented before the board moved on to committee business and votes.
