Simsbury WPCA delegates routine authority to chair, vice during July–August recess

Chair Paul Gilmore explained that the delegation is an annual, procedural step intended only for routine issues; any matter requiring substantive action will prompt a special session. "It has to be something that is routine and not very substantive," Gilmore said, explaining the practice of calling a special session for significant items.
Abby Lawrence moved the motion and it was seconded; the board approved the delegation unanimously.
The delegation covers routine operational items the Authority may need to address when the full membership is not scheduled to meet; it does not replace the Authority for major policy or capital decisions.
