Wauconda board reappoints local commissioners and marks completion of Bangs Lake outfall project

At its May 19 meeting the Wauconda Village Board approved multiple appointments and heard the mayor's report highlighting a completed stormwater project and staff recognitions.
Appointments approved included two members (listed in the meeting as "John" and "Barbini") to the Board of Fire and Police Commissioners for three‑year terms ending April 30, 2029; Brad Mayer was reappointed to the Zoning Board of Appeals/Plan Commission for a five‑year term ending April 30, 2031 and to serve a one‑year term as chairman through April 30, 2027; and Dave Jakubik was reappointed to the Zoning Board of Appeals/Plan Commission for a five‑year term ending April 30, 2031 and to serve a one‑year term as vice chairman through April 30, 2027. Each appointment was moved, seconded and approved by roll call.
Mayor Jeff Iso reported on a ribbon cutting held the previous day marking the substantial completion of the Bangs Lake Outfall and streambank stabilization project and thanked public works staff, HMG Engineers, Lake County Board staff and others who assisted with the project. Iso also recognized Elise Coulter for her service to the village as she leaves to become an assistant village manager with another municipality and congratulated Madeline Thompson for completing her probation in public works.
Trustees offered additional thanks to staff and mentioned other personnel acknowledgments. The meeting adjourned at 6:13 p.m.
