Pocahontas supervisors approve some Bolton & Menk invoices, deny two annexation bills

The board also approved a separate Bolton & Menk invoice for a Wetland Locator service totaling $4,030 (motion by Seehusen, seconded by Kyle Smith). Both motions passed unanimously.
The board voted to deny Bolton & Menk’s DD 8E voluntary-annexation invoice for $600 and directed that the invoice be forwarded to benefitted landowners at a percentage based on benefitted acres. The board likewise denied a DD 160 voluntary-annexation invoice for $547 and directed that it be forwarded to the petitioner; the motions to deny were recorded as unanimous.
Ryan Buske advised the board on voluntary annexation billing, saying the drainage ditch should pay in the matter discussed and noting that another county had billed the petitioner in a similar case.
