County highway supervisor details Portersville Road milling, CCMG overlays and tiling schedule

President Michael Keith said the county met with REO about reopening County Road 200; REO told the county it could take roughly a year-and-a-half because the vendor has fallen behind and material availability depends on sales volumes.
Chris Winkler, Daviess County Highway Supervisor, reported the county received a CCMG grant for Portersville Road. Winkler said Portersville Road was milled from 700 South to the Portersville Bridge and that paving work is underway; he added the department was working on 950 South from Portersville Road east to Martin County. Winkler also said the Highway Department plans to add a CCMG section from 700 East to 100 North to Highway 358(58) that will be milled and overlaid. He stated the department is milling roads that were tiled last year and that new tiling work is scheduled for July; commissioners will receive the list of roads proposed for upgrades and will have input on selections.
No formal vote was required; the remarks were recorded as an informational update to the board.
