Council approves police MOU to expand school resource officer hours at junior high

Anderson said the District will help fund the expanded hours, which will require adjustments to department staffing.
Anderson described resource officers as "the faces of the Farmington Police Department" in schools and said officers assigned to schools will also assist with crossing guard duties and elementary-school coverage as needed. The council voted unanimously to approve the updated MOU.
The action authorizes the Police Department and the Davis School District to implement the expanded officer schedule once staffing and funding logistics are coordinated under the terms of the MOU.
