Audubon County supervisors approve IT director pay raise, claims and routine reports

Audubon County’s Board of Supervisors approved several routine motions at its May 12 meeting, including a personnel resolution that raises the county’s IT director pay and the acceptance of claims and financial reports.
Chairman Kent Grabill called the meeting to order at 9:12 a.m. and the board approved the agenda on a motion by Supervisor Heath Hansen, seconded by Supervisor Don Mosinski.
On motions carried unanimously, the board: approved the DNR Annual Update/Changes for Clark Family Farms of Iowa LLC (ID #65342); accepted and filed the Clerk of Court April 2026 Report of Fees Collected; and approved payment of departmental claims totaling $219,003.06, which will be published at the end of the month.
The board also accepted the Auditor’s April 2026 month-end report and approved the May 5 and May 6 meeting minutes.
The meeting concluded with adoption of Resolution 2026-28, effective July 1, 2026, raising IT Director Ben Linde’s annual salary to $91,031.93, with benefits to follow the county handbook. The resolution was presented in writing (Resolution 2026-28) and was adopted by unanimous vote.
Supervisors acknowledged receipt of a resignation letter from Veteran’s Affairs Director William Baylor during the meeting; no action on a replacement was taken.
The board adjourned at 10:35 a.m.
