The clerk called each member by name during roll call; the record shows five votes in the affirmative and two in opposition. Proponents said the project would provide additional classroom capacity; opponents voted against the financing plan on policy grounds.
The bond authorization was presented as a second reading and will enable the planned reconfiguration and renovations described in the order. The council did not attach an additional appropriation in the session and staff noted the measure is an authorization for bonded indebtedness for the project.
The council considered several other fiscal and ordinance items at the same meeting, including the FY27 capital bond package and the municipal appropriations resolve, which were adopted separately.
