Indianola— At its May meeting, the City Council approved the consent agenda with item f pulled for separate discussion, accepted the treasurer's report and approved settlement acknowledgements for tobacco-sales permit violations at D and M Liquor and Casey's General Store.
Consent agenda highlights: staff reviewed several items for council approval including a public hearing notice for Kentucky Ridge commercial plat 1, a Walgreens liquor-license renewal (current permit expires June 2), renewal of a refuse-hauling permit for Waste Connections of Iowa (fee paid $550 total), a temporary liquor-service area amendment for West Hill Brewing Company events, and urban revitalization tax-abatement designations for seven properties.
