Davis County Commission approves routine contracts, SwitchPoint amendment and tax-sale results

Dustin Volk sought approval of a standard service agreement with Dryjack Turf Services for verification of putting greens at Valley View Golf Course for $9,425 for work scheduled 06/24/2026; Volk said the proprietary treatment leaves only pencil-size holes and greens were playable the next day. The commission approved the payable.
Health department staff reported an amendment to a contract with the Utah Department of Health and Human Services for Medicaid aging waiver services that reduces the contract by $15,629 for the period 05/05/2026–06/30/2026; staff explained the change is a reallocation to ensure state spending before the contract end. The commission approved the amendment.
The sheriff’s office presented a range rental agreement with the Wasatch Defensive Shooters Association for a private event on 05/22 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. for a $50 payable; the commission approved the rental. Sherry Meyer reported results of the county’s annual delinquent tax sale — 31 homes, 36 parcels and nine commercial properties were offered, but only eight parcels sold — and asked the commission to accept bids, results and record tax deeds; the commission approved those requests.
Most items were approved by motion and voice vote; consent items 10–19 were passed as a package. Commissioners closed the meeting with announcements including an appointment to the South Davis Metro Fire District and praise for Davis Behavioral Health's homelessness-prevention efforts.
