Representatives of Synergen Green Energy briefed Jackson County Commissioners' Court on a proposed Point Comfort Ammonia Project and provided a flyer and FAQ with a site map.
Pranav Tanti (President & CEO), John Hewitt (VP, Renewable Energy) and Sanyogita Tanti (VP, Strategic Development & Sourcing) attended the Jan. 27 meeting to describe the project and answer initial questions. The court received the materials and the Clerk's Note indicates the FAQ sheet and map are on file among the court exhibits.
Why it matters: The presentation introduced a private-sector energy project to county officials that could have local economic, land-use and environmental implications if it advances. The minutes record distribution of informational materials but do not describe project scope, proposed county approvals, tax incentives, employment projections or environmental review requirements.
Outcome: The presentation was informational; no vote or formal approval by the court is recorded in the minutes. Materials were entered into the record for future reference.
