Leon County's Commissioners Court approved several procurement and infrastructure items during its March 23 meeting, including a road-use/pipeline agreement for Barkley Road with Addax Midstream, two BVCOG fiber service orders for the new juvenile probation building, acceptance of sheriff's vehicle bids, approval of vending machines in Annex 1 and Annex 2, and authorization to issue an RFP for communications towers.
Commissioner T. J. Foley moved and Commissioner Kyle Workman seconded approval of the road use and/or pipeline agreement for Barkley Road in Precinct 4 with Addax Midstream, LLC; the motion carried. Commissioner Workman moved and Commissioner Sullivan seconded approval of a BVCOG service order for construction and installation of fiber at the new juvenile probation building and a separate BVCOG direct internet access fiber service agreement; both motions carried.
The court accepted the sheriff's department vehicle bid(s) on a motion by Commissioner Workman, seconded by Commissioner Bing. The court also approved placement of law enforcement vending machines in Annex 1 and Annex 2, with signage required to address issues with the machines, on a motion by Commissioner Workman, seconded by Commissioner Foley. Commissioner Foley moved and Commissioner Workman seconded approval to issue an RFP for communications towers; that motion also carried.
