The Isabella County Board of Commissioners voted on March 30, 2026, to place the Fiscal Year 2025 Annual Comprehensive Financial Report and accompanying Supplementary Information on file following a presentation by external auditors.
Chairman Frank Engler opened the special meeting at 5:00 p.m. in the Commission on Aging Building in Mt. Pleasant. Cody Mitchell and Amr Elaskary of Clark Schaefer Hackett CPAs & Advisors presented the FY2025 Annual Comprehensive Financial Report and the Supplementary Information to the Financial Statements to the board.
The presentation was followed by a motion from Commissioner Jerry Jaloszynski to place the report and supplementary information on file. Commissioner Steve Swaney seconded the motion. The board voted in favor: Commissioners James Moreno, Bob Campbell, Jerry Jaloszynski, Tobin Hope, Steve Swaney and Frank Engler recorded yea votes; there were no nays. Commissioner Weber was absent. The motion carried and the audit report was placed on file.
Earlier in the meeting, Commissioner Tobin Hope moved to approve the meeting agenda; Commissioner James Moreno seconded and the agenda was approved. The record shows there were no general public comments on agenda items and no announcements.
County Administrator/Controller Brian Smith and Chief Deputy County Clerk Leann Ellis were recorded as present for the meeting. The board adjourned at 5:36 p.m. following a motion by Commissioner Jaloszynski, seconded by Commissioner Moreno.
