Lynn County adopts two budget amendments, accepts three months of finance reports and authorizes claims payments

Lynn County Commissioners on Dec. 22 approved two budget amendments, accepted finance reports covering September through November 2025 and authorized payment of county claims and payroll.
County staff member Amy Schuknecht presented two proposed budget changes: add $500 to the County Judge telephone line item and add $18,900 to Road and Bridge Fees as miscellaneous expense. Commissioner John Hawthorne moved to approve the amendments, Commissioner Larry Durham seconded, and the court voted unanimously to adopt them.
Schuknecht also presented three months of finance reports—September, October and November 2025. Commissioner Tate Gass moved to accept the reports; Commissioner John Hawthorne seconded and the motion carried unanimously.
Julia Charo, County Clerk Deputy, reported there were no bonds to approve at this meeting. Later, Schuknecht presented bills for payment; Commissioner Larry Durham moved to approve and pay claims against the county, Commissioner Tate Gass seconded, and the court voted to approve payment.
The court did not provide detailed line-item explanations in the public minutes for how the $18,900 misc. Road and Bridge addition would be spent.
