Lynn County meeting: jail population at 40, treasurer reports no budget amendments and court approves claims

Chief Deputy Chris Hensley told the Lynn County Commissioner's Court on Nov. 24 that the county’s jail population totaled 40 inmates: 24 at the Lynn County facility, 11 from Potter County, 3 from Lubbock and 2 from Dawson.
County Treasurer Amy Schucknecht said there were no budget amendments to consider and that there was not a county finance report to approve at this meeting. County Clerk Karen Rendon reported there were no bonds to approve.
Treasurer Schucknecht presented bills to the court; Commissioner Larry Durham moved and Commissioner John Hawthorne seconded a motion to pay the claims and payroll presented. The court approved payment with the four members present voting in favor; Commissioner Matt Woodley was absent.
Under informational items, County Judge Mike Braddock said the show barn renovations are complete and noted pending facility work: a gas line repair at the SPCA building and plumbing repairs needed at the Lynn County Tax Assessor-Collector’s office.
Judge Braddock opened the meeting to public comments on agenda items and recorded that no one addressed the court. The court adjourned at 10:02 a.m.
