Lynn County approves election-service contracts for May 2026 election

The court approved four separate contracts in succession: with TISD (motion by Commissioner Larry Durham; second by Commissioner Tate Gass), with the City of Tahoka (motion by Judge Pro-Tem John Hawthorne; second by Commissioner Tate Gass), with WISD (motion by Commissioner Tate Gass; second by Commissioner Larry Durham), and with LCHD (motion by Commissioner Larry Durham; second by Judge Pro-Tem John Hawthorne). Each motion carried unanimously.

Karen Rendon said the County will ‘‘rent machines, and she will do all the election work for them,’’ as recorded in the meeting minutes.
