Clerk and election staff told commissioners they are still estimating printing costs and expect to present a formal supplemental appropriation request at the next commission meeting once invoices are available. Commissioners discussed timing and noted absentee voting and statutory deadlines will constrain the scheduling and ballot‑printing timeline.
Because the potential inclusion of state legislative contests is tied to ongoing litigation, staff cautioned the reimbursement outcome depends on pending court rulings. Commissioners directed staff to place a funding request on the next formal agenda with the specific dollar amount when estimates are complete.
