LRA funds and roads: Staff said the county received $1,119,475.74 in LRA funds from the Georgia Department of Transportation; Public Works identified nine roads totaling approximately 5.4 miles for resurfacing. The board authorized competitive bidding for the work and directed that any overages be covered by SPLOST or other county funds.
Courthouse renovation, phase 3: The board approved a $1,009,974 estimate for phase 3 of the courthouse renovation covering entrance modifications, a secure parking area and new handicap parking.
Radio tower IGA: County legal staff presented an intergovernmental agreement with the Georgia DNR to allow the county to install and operate a 100‑foot self‑supporting radio tower at FDR State Park. The IGA was described as free of charge; the board authorized execution of the necessary documents.
