A Parks & Recreation presenter updated the council on programming at The Peak and announced operational details for the Energy Solutions Aquatic Center. Staff said the pool will hold a soft opening Saturday, May 23 (noon–7 p.m.), Sunday, May 24 (11 a.m.–4 p.m.) and Monday, May 25 (noon–6 p.m.), with a grand reopening ceremony and ribbon cutting at noon on June 1 and pass sales starting at 11 a.m. that day.
Staff told council members that the county will provide one free pool pass per household, valid for up to 10 household members, and that passes can be picked up beginning the following day at the Admin Building at The Peak during posted hours.
"The passes can be picked up starting tomorrow, at the Admin Building at the peak," the presenter said, explaining distribution logistics and pickup hours. The presenter added that some inspections and equipment installations remain before the full reopening and that concessions are limited during the soft opening.
Council members thanked staff and encouraged public participation in the soft opening and June 1 grand reopening.
