Second‑year senior Jasmine described her box project — hand-painted miniatures and clay furniture she made over six months — and said the assignment strengthened her drive to open a salon. Jasmine also said she has a job at New Hue and is gaining practical experience while finishing required clinic hours.
The principal highlighted that the academy’s career-technical programs generally showed strong assessment results: about three-quarters of students scored advanced or competent on written assessments and a higher share scored advanced or competent on performance measures. The principal credited targeted student-performance measures and data-driven instruction for improvements in several programs.
The instructor invited committee members to review the students’ binders and business documentation, and said the program plans to publish a capital‑improvement schedule and other updates in June.
