The chair said Laszvic has led changes at Ridge High School, citing schedule and curricular initiatives.
Dr. Laszvic addressed the board and audience, saying he was honored and looks forward to supporting the district in the new role. "I'm thrilled and honored that you see a role for me a little bit larger than this one," he said, and thanked the board for the opportunity.
The personnel block containing the appointment was approved by roll call alongside other personnel items earlier in the meeting; the board also voted to approve the other listed superintendent‑report and personnel agenda items.
