The Moorestown Township Public School District Board of Education approved several routine business items at its May meeting, including minutes from April 28, consent agenda items, finance items and a personnel addendum that passed on a roll-call vote.
The board moved and seconded routine approvals (items a1–a6) and finance and business letters (b1–b12); the chair announced that motions carried following voice votes. The board also approved letters in section 8 (superintendent recommendations) and the HIB report. Several donations to school athletic programs and to Baker Elementary were noted during the finance presentation.
The employee-relations package — described by the chair as including an addendum discussed in executive session — was approved by roll-call vote. During the roll call the clerk recorded 'Yes' votes from Miss Sarquera Burns, Mrs. Berman, Mrs. Fowles Macaluso, Mrs. Miller, Mrs. Moreno, Mrs. Barnes and Mr. Weeks. The board then approved listed suspensions and closed the meeting after a second public-comment period.
What was approved: Approval of minutes from April 28; consent items a1–a6; superintendent letters under section 8 (a1–a2); finance and business items b1–b12 (including donation acknowledgements); employee relations items c1–c5 (roll-call approval recorded); suspensions as listed in the exhibit; and the HIB report. The chair announced motions carried and, where recorded, roll-call tallies were entered into the minutes.
Next steps: Implementation of personnel changes will proceed per the approved employee-relations items; the board will receive strategic-plan outcomes in June.
