Waunakee board approves multiple plats, permits and flag resolutions

Land-use approvals: The board opened and closed public hearings and approved a 2-lot certified survey map for 1120 Unique Drive; a CSM for Breinig Farm to support the Azura memory-care facility (with an easement added for the village sign and final attorney/staff review); and the Kilkenny Farms West conveyance and CSM. The board approved a motion to accept quick claim deeds and the proposed CSMs as presented.
Final plat and extraterritorial item: The board approved the Heritage Hills final plat (see separate article) and approved the Legacy Acres final plat in the Town of Springfield’s extraterritorial plat jurisdiction subject to resolution of remaining engineering comments.
Permits and bonds: The board approved a one-time amplified-music permit for Wannable’s third-anniversary event on June 13 and approved a resolution authorizing the redemption of taxable general obligation refunding bonds series 2011b and general obligation corporate-purpose bonds series 2016 C after the TIF district termination left funds to redeem outstanding debt.
Why it matters: these actions move multiple development projects and special-event permissions forward, clarify village positions on symbolic flag displays, and execute a financial action tied to a recently terminated TIF district.
