The Brookfield City Common Council on May 19 approved multiple Finance Committee items by consent, including a resolution providing for the sale of approximately $9,125,000 in General Obligation Promissory Notes and approximately $6,640,000 in Taxable General Obligation Promissory Notes (Resolution No. 11566-26). The consent motion carried 13–0.
Council also approved capital improvement fund budget amendments that reallocate prior-year borrowing proceeds from Krueger and McCoy Park projects and previously received donations to the Wirth Park restroom building project (Resolution No. 11569-26). A professional services agreement with Wisconsin Public Finance Professionals LLC for municipal advisory services related to 2026 capital improvement debt issues was approved on the consent agenda, as were routine resolutions establishing public depositories and authorized broker/dealers.
The council accepted an interoperable radio grant from the Wisconsin Department of Military Affairs to purchase police radio equipment (Resolution No. 11570-26) and approved a lease agreement with UUTG LLC (Umansky Toyota) for a Police HIDTA vehicle (Resolution No. 11571-26). A separate request from the Brookfield Conference Center for funding of replacement video projection equipment was removed from the consent agenda and postponed to the Finance Committee for future consideration (motion to postpone carried 13–0).
These finance and capital items were handled on the consent agenda and recorded in meeting resolutions; specific bond sale amounts are included in the cited resolution.
