Judge finds violations true in Juarez revocation hearing; custody and supervision conditions ordered

In a motion-to-revoke hearing the court addressed allegations that Jay Angel Juarez violated conditions of community supervision. Juarez pleaded true to the specified violations. The prosecutor sought incarceration, while defense counsel requested intensive supervision (ISF) and continuity of probation under certain conditions.

After examining the record and hearing from probation, the judge found violations numbered 4 and 4 true. The judge described the options and the consequences of noncompliance before imposing the court’s disposition. “4 and 4 are true,” the judge said, and ordered Juarez to remain in custody until transfer for ISF or placement; upon release the court specified GPS monitoring, a curfew from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. (except for documented employment), waived fees while in custody and educational/rehabilitative conditions including a TAP evaluation and completion of recommended programming.

The judge emphasized restitution and community-service credit rules: Juarez was told he owes $6,399.22 in restitution, and the court explained that one hour of community service will be deducted for each sober-support meeting completed and 100 hours may be deducted upon obtaining a GED or vocational certification. Probation noted that if TAP recommends inpatient treatment the defendant could be placed in that program before returning to community supervision.

Juarez acknowledged understanding the conditions and the court admonished him about compliance and the consequences of future violations. The court directed probation to implement the TAP evaluation and supervise compliance; the defendant remains in custody until transfer.
