The Powell County Fairgrounds Management Board on March 19 approved a series of operational motions including payment of vendor invoices tied to a broader improvements budget, new event fees and several small purchases.
Amanda Cooley presented bills from Swank totaling $75,740 for rebar ($30,460) and precast inlet structures ($45,280) and recommended the Board approve payment from the $1 million project budget. Dale Perkins moved to approve the invoice payment and Shannon Fouche seconded; the motion was approved.
The Board set stall rates for the upcoming high school rodeo at $20 per stall, $30 for electrical hookups and $15 for dry stalls after a motion by Emily Wood and a second by Shannon Fouche. The Board also approved an open-riding annual membership option, with suggested fees of $100 for individuals and $250 for families (motion by Shannon Fouche; second by Emily Wood).
Other approved purchases and authorizations included a load of washed gravel at an estimated cost of $1,000 to prepare a site for storage containers (motion by Dale Perkins; second by Emily Wood), purchase of a 4-H tent for $400 from Mike Gallagher (motion by Dale Perkins; second by Shannon Fouche), and purchase of barstool chairs from the Tap Room not to exceed $500 (motion by Dale Perkins; second by Shannon Fouche).
The Board also accepted a consulting agreement with TSS Construction (Tony Stoddard); Dayna Gilman asked whether the payment would come from Board funds and Melissa Gallagher confirmed it would before the Board voted to accept the agreement (motion by Dale Perkins; second by Shannon Fouche).
The meeting adjourned at 8:23 p.m.
