The Powell County Council on Aging board approved its March meeting minutes and accepted the March financial report at its April 27 meeting.
Staff member Brandi Schwab reviewed the financials, reporting that the certificate of deposit at Pioneer Federal had been renewed for nine months at 4.03% APY and currently holds $54,491.50. Brandi also reported that a new signature card was signed and that the board’s proxy vote was submitted regarding a plan to convert a bank to a stock‑owned institution.
After the review, board member Bob Stone moved to approve the financials as presented; board member Gail Eide seconded the motion, which passed. The minutes from March were approved earlier in the meeting on a motion by Bob Stone and a second from Michelle Holt.
The minutes record that there were no uses of the Director Discretionary Fund in March; the fund balance is $3,028.15. The board discussed seeking another request to the Pioneer Community Foundation or using interest from the renewed CD to support small needs reported in the meeting.
