The Saco Planning Board adopted a staff‑prepared Flagpond zone report on May 19 that documents the board’s prior deliberations and its recommendation regarding a requested zone change. Charles Tedman, city planner, said the draft summarizes the applicant request, deliberations on comprehensive plan consistency and the board’s recommendation. Member Jim Moyer moved to adopt the report and Jeff Brochu seconded. The board voted unanimously, 6–0, to adopt the report so it can be presented to the city council.
The report does not itself change zoning; instead it records the Planning Board’s formal recommendation and becomes part of the official record should the applicant return or the matter be considered by council. Tedman said staff will forward the adopted report to the city solicitor and provide the record to council as required.
