At a Town of Southborough meeting, members approved awards for six scholarship recipients totaling $6,000 and authorized staff to sign checks for the recipients.
The Chair asked for motions on each award. A Committee member moved each motion and the Chair (serving as the presiding officer) arranged seconds and conducted roll-call votes. The approved awards were: a Town of Southborough scholarship of $1,250 to applicant 1; a Town of Southborough scholarship of $1,000 to applicant 2; the Linda Hubley scholarship of $1,000 to applicant 3; the Stephanie Raineri scholarship of $1,000 to applicant 4; a Town of Southborough scholarship of $500 to applicant 5; and two awards to applicant 6 — the Stephanie Manary scholarship for $750 and the Carol Harris scholarship for $500 (combined $1,250). The total approved across all awards was $6,000.
The body also approved a motion to authorize the Townhouse to sign checks for each scholarship recipient. Members then approved the minutes shown on the screen (05:20) and set the next meeting for 5:45 at the Townhouse. The Committee member moved to adjourn; the Chair called the roll and the meeting was adjourned.
All motions recorded roll-call votes in which the named members (Stephanie, Christine, Isabelle, Maria and Lisa) were recorded as voting yes on each item.
