Wayne County Commissioners on March 5 approved letters of support for two local projects: the Delaware Highlands Conservancy’s application for a DCNR Partnership Grant and a Congressionally approved funding request for Phase 2 of the proposed Wayne County YMCA, which includes a daycare center.
Commissioner Jocelyn Cramer moved to approve the letter supporting the Delaware Highlands Conservancy; Commissioner James Shook seconded the motion and it carried. Later the board unanimously approved a letter supporting the Wayne County YMCA’s funding request for Phase 2, including the daycare component, on a motion by Commissioner Shook and a second by Commissioner Cramer.
The minutes record the board’s formal support but do not detail any conditions or funding commitments from the county. No public comment regarding either support letter was recorded in the minutes.
