Board reapproves variance for house at 930 Wyman Dr previously approved in 2024

Architect Roger Young said the applicant narrowed the plans by two feet on the east side and lowered the roof ridgeline to preserve trees and make the house more modest. "Since being here last time, we have narrowed the plans by two feet on the east side to stay farther away from the trees that the owner wants to keep," Young said.
No members of the public spoke on the request. Board members cited the earlier approval and consistency with adjacent houses in supporting the application. A motion to approve the variance was moved by Art Frasca, supported by Ron Ressler, and carried unanimously (7-0).
The variance allows the proposed house to be located closer to the roadside property line than the standard 35-foot requirement, consistent with the prior approval and the applicant’s revised plans.
