The board also approved nine routine purchase items over $100,000 for the coming year, including school nutrition contracts and three programmatic contracts: an Acceleration Academy contract (not to exceed $1,500,000), a behavioral intervention curriculum (7 Mindset Academy, est. $86,000/year), and a college and career online platform (StarTech Group, est. $180,000).
Finance staff reported the district’s adjusted budget remained at approximately $424.3 million as of the end of April and noted accounting movement related to the CTE center and auditorium projects. Trustees asked questions about geotechnical costs, warranty letters for roofing, and whether contingency items were covered; staff responded with project and procurement details. Motions to approve the vendor awards and purchase lists passed by voice vote.
Next steps: staff will finalize vendor contracts, continue construction oversight and report updates to the bond oversight committee at a site likely in July.
