At its March 3 meeting the Roscoe Village Board approved payment of invoices and payroll totaling $276,588.85 and approved several recurring special‑event permits on the consent agenda.
Treasurer’s figures in the packet listed invoices of $163,577.04 and payroll expenses of $113,011.81. The chair asked for a motion to pay the bills; trustees moved, seconded and recorded affirmative votes approving the expenditures.
On the consent agenda the board approved: • a special event permit for the Roscoe Community Market to operate twice monthly at the Liberty Lot from May through September, 11 a.m.–3 p.m.; • Resolution 2026‑R10 to purchase 55 American gold flags for $6,455; and • suspended the rules to approve recurring annual permits for the YMCA Stonebridge Marathon & 5K (Sept. 26), the Northpointe Triathlon & Fitness Fair (June 13) and Gigi’s Playhouse of Rockford event for Down syndrome (April 25). One trustee abstained on the triathlon item as recorded.
Why this matters: the bill approval directs village funds to vendors and payroll and the event permits allow community gatherings and charitable events at village venues.
Next steps: staff will process vendor payments and finalize event logistics and permits under the village’s special‑event procedures.
