The Murray County Drainage Authority on May 5 approved payment of ditch invoices totaling $31,262.90 (Bolton & Menk and Johnson Ditching, Inc.) and adopted Findings and an Order initiating repair proceedings for County Ditch 20 and Judicial Ditch 14.
The repair scope includes replacing a damaged 73"×45" corrugated metal pipe (CMP) arch culvert that drains a grass waterway, installing stream barbs at the JD 14/CD 20 intersection, and placing rip‑rap along 111th Street within CD 20. The board recorded unanimous 5–0 roll‑call votes to adopt the Findings and Order and to approve the bills for payment.
Payments approved included $12,533.00 to Bolton & Menk (engineering for CD 41 and JD 14/CD 20) and $18,729.90 to Johnson Ditching (field work on CD 38, CD 81 and JD 14). Copies of invoices are available from Drainage Authority staff (contact Heidi Winter). A landowner meeting on the repair area had been held in February 2025, and the Drainage Authority indicated it hopes to complete the work in 2026.
