The Bluff Town Council voted May 7 to award a selective-demolition contract for the Bluff Rural Innovation Civic Center to DRL Enterprises Inc. for $79,250, town staff said.
Malia Collins presented three bids; DRL Enterprises scored 100% under the evaluation criteria and was recommended despite the bid exceeding the budgeted $70,000. Councilmembers voted to accept DRL Enterprises’ bid; Mayor Josh Ewing, Gary Haws, Britt Hornsby and Spencer Wade voted in favor and Jennifer Davila abstained, and the motion passed.
Collins and the Design Review Committee recommended DRL Enterprises based on evaluation scores. The minutes record the award and Davila’s abstention; the council did not record public comment on the item at the meeting.
Staff will proceed with contract finalization and return with any necessary budget adjustments or grant/finance notes if required.
