The committee heard two shorter operational updates on May 19: the recorder reported recordation counts and revenue for April, and GIS staff and a vendor outlined mapping and application improvements.
Chief deputy recorder Holly Pabian said April saw 1,222 new records (an increase from March) and 5,589 records year‑to‑date; April revenue totaled $201,869.02 with $104,248.98 in expenses. She described outreach at a veterans expo where staff promoted an honor rewards program and property‑fraud alerts following recent statute changes.
GIS vendor Colin Russell and staff reported completion of an updated winter road conditions application (used late in the season), ongoing website script fixes before swapping to a new GIS web site, corrected issues with large printed maps, and work to improve county board district maps so roads and district changes are clearer. The GIS team said ArcGIS Pro conversion script changes remain in progress and that they are setting up a new EMA user (the deputy director Kyle) and providing training.
The committee placed the GIS report on file and approved GIS bills by voice vote.
