Lawrenceburg officials approved higher pool rental and family-pass rates at a May 18 meeting, with the board voting to raise nonresident pool rentals to $10 and the family season pass from $150 to $175.
The discussion opened with staff noting recommended fee adjustments to align with nearby Green Delta (Greendale) pricing. One council member cautioned that staying below neighboring rates could draw more out-of-town visitors. "If we don't go the same amount as Greendale, what will happen is we will get a lot more of the out-of-town pool people," a council member said during discussion.
Board members also noted that raising nonresident fees could increase family-pass sales and help offset the pool’s operating deficit. After a motion and second, the board approved raising nonresident rental rates to $10 and increasing the family season pass to $175; the motion carried on a voice vote.
The meeting record did not specify an effective date for the new rates; staff indicated these changes had been reflected in the amended pool agreement provided to council members.
