The Lawrenceburg Board of Works voted May 18 to award the 2026 asphalt patch and repair contract to Paul Rowe Company for a not-to-exceed amount of $50,000. The project, described by city public-works staff, covers minor asphalt patching and curb repairs across city streets and was bid on unit rates.
"The low responsive, responsible quote is from Paul Rowe Company at a not to exceed amount of $50,000," the public-works presenter said, noting two qualifying quotes were received after soliciting four companies. The presentation packet included a tabulation of unit rates.
Officials said the work will be funded from the street improvement line (220 200-1431). After questions from council members about the tabulation, a motion to accept the low responsive bid was moved and seconded and carried on a voice vote.
The award authorizes staff to issue the contract and proceed with the patching work under the unit-rate structure in the bid tabulation. The Board of Works meeting record did not specify an execution date for the contract or an estimated start date for the work.
