Commissioners then moved to approve a real‑estate data search agreement with Paul Quany (identified in the meeting as a contract loan officer with First National Bank of Kansas) for the appraiser’s office; that motion passed with the chair signing the packet. The board also approved a separate real‑estate sales data search agreement with Gareth (transcript spelling varies) Rohrer for the appraiser’s office and again asked the chair to sign.
Other consent items approved included acceptance of Kelly Nelson’s resignation and appointment of Joanne Zaner (transcript spelling varies) as secretary for the University Park Improvement District, approval of a tax‑roll correction and a set of employee action forms listing hires, separations and volunteer firefighter appointments. The board also approved minutes from the May 18 commission meeting.
All consent motions were moved, seconded and carried without recorded opposition; where the meeting recorded votes the board used the standard verbal “Aye” and asked the chair to sign the paperwork. No additional debate was recorded on these items.
The actions advance routine county operations (grant pursuit, appraisal data services, personnel administration) and do not, in themselves, create new policy. The county will proceed with application submission for the EMPG funds and execute the approved contracts and personnel changes as reflected in the meeting packets.
